I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in Boulder with a Bachelor of Science in news-editorial journalism and a minor in atmospheric and oceanic science. Originally from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I brought only my large suitcase and a big dream of becoming a writer to the United States.
I have a passion for writing, the arts and inevitably, food. Growing up in a household where both my grandmother and mother were excellent cooks, it was hard not to jump into the same bandwagon and expand my culinary skills. This website chronicles my adventures with food, relationships and experiences in this ride we call life.
I have previously been an editor for a bi-weekly magazine publication for the American Degree Program at Taylor’s University College in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. I was a general assignment reporter for The Robesonian in Lumberton, NC and have written for an array of publications in the city of Boulder, such as the CU Independent, The Boulder Today and Delicious Living magazine. I’ve also had experience in managing social media accounts when I was the social media intern for The Last Ocean, a nonprofit organization aimed towards ocean conservation.
In the past, I was an editorial intern for the Boulder Weekly and an editorial intern for the health desk at 303Magazine in Denver, Colorado. I hope to someday become a news or environmental desk editor at an online or print publication.
